Abstract:
Provided are an engineering bacteria and a method for producing beta-alanine. With respect to the original bacteria, the engineering bacteria is capable of overexpressing the alpha-carboxylase of L-aspartic acid of Bacillus subtilis as shown in sequence 6, or overexpressing a polypeptide having at least 60%, preferably 80%, more preferably 90%, further preferably 95% and most preferably 98% or even 99% homology with the enzyme and having the enzyme activity.
