Abstract:
In a waterjet propulsion, to prevent low steering power when operating at idle engine speed during manoeuvering, the prime mover has lower and a higher operating idle speeds. A speed sensor detects a low watercraft speed and operates the prime mover with the lower idle for high watercraft speed and at higher idle for low watercraft speed.
