Abstract:
Provided is a mailing envelope which makes full use of the advantages of conventional mailing envelopes in terms of the basic envelope shape and opening method (compatible with the conventional opening method and sizes of writing paper enclosed inside envelopes), which has improved convenience and durability of the envelope body, and which can be reused many times, with the idea of people sharing envelopes from hereon; also provided is a method for producing the mailing envelope. An envelope (10) in which it is possible to seal a document having a document side address information surface on which address information is entered, wherein the envelope is made from a material having prescribed transparency in an area of the envelope side address information surface adjacent to the document side address information surface corresponding to at least the section where the address information is entered, and an opening (30) which is large enough to affix a postage stamp and to stamp a cancellation mark is provided on the envelope side address information surface.
