[Problem] To optimally update information relating to an obstacle area where an obstacle exists in a space in which a moving body moves and information relating to a vacant space where the obstacle does not exist, and minimize an amount of information. [Solution] According to this disclosure, provided is an environment information update device provided with an update unit for updating information relating to an obstacle area where an obstacle exists in a space in which a moving body moves and information relating to a vacant space where the obstacle does not exist, wherein the update unit updates the obstacle area and updates the vacant area on the basis of different lapse times.
