Abstract:
Disclosed are an environmentally friendly and cold-resistant polyvinyl chloride elastomer composition and preparation method thereof. The method comprises: mixing a polyvinyl chloride resin, di-alkyl terephthalates, a synthetic vegetable oil ester, a polar rubber, an active nano-calcium carbonate, a calcium-zinc-based composite stabilizer, a lubricant, an antioxidant and pigments in a kneader; waiting the mixed materials to reach 90-100˚C, and then cooling the mixed materials; and placing the cooled mixed materials on a two-stage screw extruder for extrusion and palletization to obtain a product, wherein the elastomer composition has a Shore hardness lower than 80 at a temperature of -5˚C. The present invention has the beneficial effects of excellent toughness at a low temperature, high mechanical strength, favorable heat aging resistance, environmentally friendliness without toxicity and an outstanding comprehensive performance, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing an elevator compensation chain sheath, seals of doors, windows and vehicle windows, and insulating protection layers of power wires and cables.
