Abstract:
A device for producing magnesium by means of aluminothermic reduction. The device comprises a microwave resonance furnace body (1), a microwave heater (4), a power supply and control device (5), and a circulating cooling water device (6), wherein the microwave heater (4), the power supply and control device (5) and the circulating cooling water device (6) are all arranged outside the microwave resonance furnace body (1). In the use of the device for producing magnesium by means of aluminothermic reduction, briquettes are added to a vacuum feeding device (7) and are then added to a high-temperature material pipe (2) of the microwave resonance furnace body (1), and same undergo a reduction reaction in the high-temperature material pipe (2) so as to generate magnesium vapor and solid reduction slag; and the magnesium vapor is condensed in a condensation and crystallization device (9) so as to obtain solid high-purity crude magnesium, and heating is continued to enable the solid reduction slag to undergo a further reaction and thus form a magnesia-alumina spinel product. The high-purity crude magnesium and the magnesia-alumina spinel are produced in different time periods, such that the problem of combined equipment and complex procedures being required for producing magnesium and magnesia-alumina spinel is solved.
