Title:
ENZYMATIC AND BACTERIAL BIOREMEDIATION AND SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/117230
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present development brings forth an innovative product developed from the use of a brand new methodology consisting of the association/addition of Biocatalysis made of enzymes (Hydrolase, Ligase, Isomerase and Oxidoreductase), proteins (Lysine, Methionine, Riboflavin, Pepsin, Threonine, Isoleucine and tryptophan), natural based bacteria e fungus (Thiobaciilus Ferrooxidans, Thiobacilius Thiooxidans, Thiobacilius Thioparus, Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas), to a substrate constituted by the association of a polyether polyol and a methylene diphenyl isocyanate, with the chemical agent expander water. The result is a granular material that, when in contact with liquid substances containing carboniferous molecules (no matter of what etiology) like: hydro carbonates, blood plasma, oil based paint, oily effluents, animal and vegetable oils, to mention some, foments the adsorption in a weight/weight proportion in the range of 2.000% to 2.500% and in the volume/volume proportion in the range of 100% to 200% in water, soils or non porous surfaces. Due to the characteristics of the basic substances, the product contains an inexpressible toxic level and high floatability level. The product/pollutant mix is subsequently and rapidly transformed into organic compound (which may be used as agricultural).

Description:
ENZYMATIC AND BACTERIAL BIOREMEDIATION AND SUBSTRATE

DESCRIPTION

The present request for an invention patent refers to an innovative product developed by use of a brand new methodology consisting of the association/addition of enzymatic Biocatalysis (Hydrolase, Ligase, Isomerase and Oxidoreductase), proteins (Lysine, Methionine, Riboflavin, Pepsin, Threonine, Isoleucine and Tryptophan), bacteria and fungus from natural origin (Thiobacillus Ferrooxidans, Thiobacillus Thiooxidans, Thiobacillus Thioparus, Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas), to a substrate constituted by the association of a poiyether poiyol and a methylene diphenyl isocyanate, with the chemical agent expander water". Forming a granular material that when in contact with liquid substances containing carbon molecules promotes expressiveness conditions for adsorption, removal and further processing in a short time the mix of product pollutant in an organic compound (which may be used as agricultural).

The necessity of the present development becomes evident when we face the reality of a permanent environmental threat: pollution by liquid substances containing carbon molecules, (no matter what the etiology) such as hydrocarbons, blood plasma, oil-based paints, oily effluents, animal and vegetable oils, to mention some. These are pollutions occasioned by human failure, system or equipment break-down, leakage or final dispositions of oily residues. When there is an accident, the methodology presently applied for the absorption of liquid carbon substances from the environment is using absorbing materials. However, due to its non-degradability, these materials have the inconvenience of substantially increasing the residue volume, sometimes causing worse harm to the environment. In some cases (like in the water), due to higher density and/or affinity with the aquatic environment, it makes the oil sink. In other cases, the lixiviation processes (the oil initially absorbed comes loose), make the pollutant return to the environment, and on land, it impedes the mechanic action of the oils in the gas exchange processes between free O 2 and the "epicyclical" on- land substrate, noting the difficulty of disposal of this waste as a pollutant residue. The utilization of this new product consisting of enzymatic Biocatalysis (Hydrolase, Ligase, Isomerase and Oxidoreductase), proteins (Lysine, Methionine, Riboflavin, Pepsin, Threonine, Isoleucine and Tryptophan), bacteria and fungus from natural origin (Thiobacillus Ferrooxidans, Thiobacillus Thiooxidans, Thiobacillus Thioparus, Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas) to a substrate constituted by the association of a polyether polyol and a methylene diphenyl isocyanate, with the chemical agent expander water", has considerable advantages in relation to the above mentioned products for the removal of oily substances, (no matter what the etiology) such as hydrocarbons, blood plasma, oil-based paints, oily effluents, animal and vegetable oils, to mention some. Because of its "prime substance" similarity to the adsorbent oily pollutants due to it is a non-polar product, with geometry close to the chemistry of the adsorbed oils, by an electrovalence action with the carbon molecules, "adhering and spreading" it to the environment, which immediately puts an end to the aggression against the ecosystem. The density is lower than water (even when associated to the oils) and chemically non- polar (suffering total rejection by the aquatic environment) granting permanent floatability, impeding the reintroductton of the polluting element into the aquatic environment, and on land, it impedes the mechanic action of the oils in the gas exchange processes between free O a and the "epicyclical" on-land substrate when the polluting element is still in a contaminant stage. This bio-catalyzing action follows the concept of a set of microorganisms with specific co-factors, basic substrates and synthesis of activated amino acids, the set being balanced with organic residues, essential macro and micro elements changing from inorganic to organic state, presenting a complex of beneficial microorganisms that interact in the product pollutant mix, fomenting a considerable increase of the macro- and micro-fauna. The process occurs through the action of the Biocatalysis added to the organic residue (product/pollutant mix), causing the carboniferous molecule to break through bio-catalyzing and the equation of the carbon/nitrogen relation. This furthers multiplication of millions of microorganism strains in aerobic and thermophilic environments, transforming inorganic "mineral" in existing chelation and also solubilizing organic and inorganic phosphorus. By the action of the mentioned enzymes and bio-decomposing bacteria in this specific substrate (pollutant/product mix), the product is able to rapidly transform it into a total organic compost, (which may be used as agricultural). The fertilizers to be produced contain high aggregated value (can be added IM, P, K), are free from odors and pathogens, and can be industrially dehydrated and bagged as bran or granules. It may be balanced with nutrients and mineral required by agronomic recommendations and used in the soil.

The production technology of the present invention has three distinct phases, which are:

1) Preparation process for the specific environments for the culture of elements of natural origin, defining the Biocatalysis.

This material corresponds to the production of 20 liters of Biocatalysis 01 or TNH1 1T1

1.3) Biocatalysis 02 denominated TNH2 N2 (specific environment for the composition)

The culture environment follows the same principles, the nutrient levels of the environment being defined by the basic co-factors, i.e., the protein levels:

a) Ester solution, for 75 ml, and Isoleucine 6,5 ml + Tryptophan 12,5 ml + Lysine 12,5 ml.

b) Suspension with basic pH basic, Methionine 0,3 g. + Riboflavin 0,01 g, + Pepsin 0,01 g.

c) ATCC biological substrate = Thiobacillus Ferrooxidans 12,5 % , Thiobacillus Thioparus 12,5 % in a specific environment of the solution, Nitrobacter 3,5%, Nitrosomonas 12,5%. These percentages are considered for the basic volume, like the total of the established environment, that is, 125 ml of the basic coefficient per liter of this material. This material corresponds to the production of 20 liters of Biocatalysis 02 or TNH2 N2.
