Abstract:
In order to enable reducing the number of optical devices while maintaining a configured number of tilt levels, and to output an optical signal with a constant signal strength, this equalizer device is provided with: an optical matrix switch which comprises a first terminal group including at least two first terminals and a second terminal group including at least two second terminals; an equalizer group which includes at least two equalizers connected at the input terminal to one of the second terminals included in the second terminal group and connected at the output terminal to one of the first terminals included in the first terminal group; a variable attenuator which is connected to one of the second terminals included in the second terminal group and which attenuates an inputted optical signal; and a control means which switches the connection state between the first terminals and the second terminals and which sets the amount of attenuation in the variable attenuator.
