Description:

"EQUIPMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL ENERGIZING OF LAMPS THROUGH COMMON SWITCH"

The present request of Patent of Invention refers to a new "EQUIPMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL ENERGIZING OF LAMPS THROUGH COMMON SWITCH", especially of an equipment with built-in electronics capable of commanding lamps through common switch in which is (they are) linked to one or more light sources and similar of any potency, susceptible to be lit in groups separately, without the need of additional spinning, besides could be turned off by timer; having besides the simplicity of installation, great constructive simplicity what generates a product of great technical-commercial appeal.

The lighting of lamps already known has techniques already consecrated, being the more common one the use of a switch constituted by one or more keys from where derive enough spinnings to energize or not one or a group of lamps.

Some times, determined luminaria is composed by larger amount of lamps than the largest number of available keys in the conventional switches, what takes the need to connect more than a lamp in the switch properly said. However, in certain conditions and/or situations, it is not necessary the lighting of that amount of lamps "hung" in a key of the switch, what causes waste of energy, and it is unacceptable in these economical and ecologically correct times. It is of knowledge of the STATE OF TECHNIQUE, in what refers to the illumination command, the relays of electromechanic pulse, the programmable controllers, as well as some requests of patents as the one mentioned below:

PI-9205730 "Circuit to Act a Plurality of Lamps of Discharge of Gas and Circuit to Work At least Three Lamps of Discharge of Gas", more particularly of a circuit to act lamps of discharge of gas connected in series with a secondary rolling of transformer connected to the first and second exit terminals through the lamps. A capacitor couples the first point to an intermediate exit terminal. The pre-lighting voltage produced through the secondary rolling is applied through an individual lamp to do with that it lights. After lighting, the current to the intermediate exit terminal is limited by the capacitor, and the lamps are acted in series. This way, the voltage to be produced through the secondary rolling to assure the lighting of all of the lamps is reduced.

MU-7100544-7 "Economical Switch" refers to a switch for illumination circuits with lamps of the incandescent type, providing in the same equipment normal lighting and

reduction of brightness and of the electric power consumption for lamp in 30%. In a first version, it substitutes the conventional simple switches and the regulated ones; it is constituted basically by a key with three positions fed in two points; a diode that works blocking part of the electric current of the lamp, interconnecting the point "a" to the point "c." In a second version, it adapts to the parallel or intermediate switches, being constituted basically by a key of two positions fed in the points "d" and "e", in which it is also set up a diode that blocks part of the electric current of the lamp.

One of the common deficiencies to the systems of conventional lighting is the fact of needing to pass so many threads how many are the amounts of lamps to be linked, in other words, there is the need to accomplish new electric facilities with "lay out" on measure for its use, besides the compulsory of centralizing the installation of the equipment.

Another inconvenience is the difficulty in adjusting in the best way the lighting of the lamps or luminarias in blocks that assist to the user's urgent needs, susceptible to adjustment "'in loco". Such aspects, besides constituting in technical inconveniences also incur commercial limitings, since the known solutions lack of resources and, consequently, versatility, indispensable requirements to the market.

Thinking in all this inconvenient, the inventor, after countless researches, created "EQUIPMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL ENERGIZING OF LAMPS THROUGH COMMON SWITCH", which promotes great electric power economy, once it makes possible the user to select the amount of lamps that should stay lit, or not, in determined ambience, according to urgent and momentary conditions, besides making possible the automatic turning off by timer, everything accomplished with only switch and spinning originally installed, besides the switch, could the referred equipment be tied to any lamp type, be incandescent or some type of gas.

Therefore, the equipment was projected to command, turn on or turn off, to increase or reduce lamps and luminarias individually or in groups installed in a same electric circuit, by interruption, for determined time, of the electric power supply through switch or breaker key of the circuit in subject, with the possibility of turning off of the lamps or luminarias by timer.

To exemplify the applicability of the equipment, it is used an installation with four luminarias in an ambience acted through a conventional switch of the on-off type. With the invented equipment, installed in each lamp or luminaria, with the due programming, it

happens that, when the switch is acted for the first time, it will light a lamp or luminaria firstly, staying the other three ones extinguished; turning off the switch for reduced time, less than one second, and turning it on again, it light one more luminaria, staying other two extinguished until, by the repetition of the procedure, they light the four lamps and, in the case of programming, said luminarias can be extinguished by timer.

The proposed equipment has a circuit composed by electronic components of simple installation and easy acquisition and low cost attache, in that, staying the proposed topology, it allows developing a family of product of several capacities, being enough adjust said electronic components and with that becoming the serial production versatile. In short, the proposed equipment presents as larger advantages:

• Economy in the installation - depending on the width of the ambience, the cost for making the new cabling will be superior to the cost of the equipment;

• There is no need of specific labor for making the new cabling, usual procedure in the conventional systems; • There is no need of qualified labor for installation of the invented equipment;

• Rationalization of the consumption of energy spent with illumination;

• Automatic shutdown through timer that contributes to smaller electric power consumption.

To proceed, the invention will be explained with reference to the enclosed drawing, in which is represented:

Figure 1 : Drawing showing the diagram in blocks of equipment for sequential energizing of lamps through common switch.

"EQUIPMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL ENERGIZING OF LAMPS THROUGH COMMON SWITCH" object of this request of Patent of Invention consists of an equipment to be installed in each one of the lamps or luminarias of determined circuit, in that the same ones are acted by single switch that, with the original spinning, is capable of lighting a sequence of lamps by the momentary interruption of the supply of energy through touches in the keyboard of the switch or similar equipment.

The operation of the equipment, having as base an electric installation in that a distribution board with protection breakers in any tension and appropriate spinning, occurs in several blocks to begin at the first block (Bl) "Feeding net"; in a second block (B2), "Switch" is linked in series with the net with the purpose of interrupting or supplying energy to the equipment represented by the third block (B3), which is installed close to the load in the fourth

block "lamp" to be acted. Being like this, when turning on the "switch" of the second block (B2), an alternate tension is applied in the equipment (B 3), tension that rectified in the fifth block (B5) "Line rectification" and "filtered" in the sixth block (B6), for then to feed the "microcontroller" of the tenth block (BlO). While the tension feeding of the first energizing is established, the microcontroller (BlO) monitors the tension and enters in operation executing "routines of initial configuration", acted in the eleventh block (Bl 1) and soon afterwards in the twelfth (B 12) to accomplish the "routine of 'preset' function and temporizing" in that the function routine occurs preferentially with 1 bit and the temporizing with 3 bits, charging the values according to the reading of the entrances linked to the programming "jumpers", represented in the seventh block (B7); in the sequence, it passes to "routine of function in the acting way" shown in the thirteenth block (B 13), that according to the chosen "preset" does the counting of how many times happened the absence of energy approximately in the interim of one second, monitored by the "routine of tension in the net", shown in the fourteenth block (B14), made possible by the "filter of sign" in the eighth block (B8). When of the absence of energy, the feeding source (B6) and "routines of initial configuration" (BI l) supply energy stored almost more than one second, however when it is exhausted, the equipment (B3) returns to the condition of the first energizing. In the case of having with the "preset" one or two lacks of energy, the "shot routine" is liberated, shown in the fifteenth block (B 15) of the ninth block (B9) "Load filter", for then to turn on the "lamp" (B4). To keep the correct acting of the "load filter" (B 9), it exists a sixteenth block (B 16) "Acting control of the load", linked in parallel to the load. When of the acting shot of the load, it begins the routine of counting of time for the turning off of the load represented in the seventeenth block (B 17) "Temporizing routine to turn off the load", in accordance with the "setup" of temporizing "preset", that can have several different scales or then the deactivation of the temporizing. When finalizing the counting of time, the acting occurs in the thirteenth block (B 13) for the turning off of the load.
