Abstract:
An ergonomics optimization-based parking brake control system comprises a handle assembly (7) and a pull rope (3) connected to a brake system. A hand brake plate (2) is provided at one side of the handle assembly (7) close to the body of a driver. One end of the hand brake plate (2) is rotatably connected to a handle portion (72) by means of a rotary shaft (75). One end of the pull rope (3) is connected to the hand brake plate (2) at a position away from the rotary shaft (75). In contrast to existing parking brake switches that are turned on or off by pulling a brake lever located beside the driver's foot up or down, the present invention employs eccentric rotation of the pull rope at the hand brake plate so as to drive the pull rope to move. The hand brake plate in an unlocked state is arranged at the handle assembly, and such utilization of the space at the handle assembly provides an evident indication to the driver. Since the handle assembly is provided at a position in which the driver inserts or removes a key, the hand brake plate is easily visible to the driver, thereby reducing the likelihood that a driver will forget to perform a parking brake operation before getting out of a car.
