Abstract:
An external serial advanced technology attachment (eSATA) socket for holding multiple plugs includes a socket body (410) provided with a holding part (420) that is provided with a bearing part (140). A first holding space is formed between the upper surface of the bearing part and the upper surface of the inner wall of the holding part. A second holding space is formed between the lower surface of the bearing part and the lower surface of the inner wall of the holding part. The shape of the first holding space matches the outer shape of an eSATA plug (300) with a claming buckle and a metal shell. The shape of the second holding space matches the outer shape of a universal serial bus (USB) plug. A circuit complying with eSATA interface connector protocol for transmitting data is provided on the upper surface of the bearing part. A circuit complying with USB interface connector protocol is provided on the lower surface of the bearing part. A power circuit is provided on the upper surface of the inner wall of the holding part so that the first holding space can hold an eSATA plug without a claming buckle and a metal shell. The compatibility of the eSATA socket is expanded.
