Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide an escalator in which fall-down accident and static electricity
charge are prevented, and replacement of advertisement display part is facilitated
and prevented from being peeled by tampering by so showing, on the surface of a
handrail belt, the moving direction of the handrail belt as to be easily seen from
the front and the sides of the handrail belt. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS]
A printed sheet (6) different in color from the handrail belt (5) and having direction
indication marks (6A) for indicating the moving direction of the handrail belt
from the flat surface part (5A) to both edge parts (5B) of the handrail belt (5)
at intervals (P) at least one of which is present in the semi-circular portion
(H) of the inversion part of the handrail belt is stuck on the surface of the handrail
belt (5). The escalator may comprise a roller body formed of a conductor material.
A short sheet showing advertisement may be stuck on the surface of a long sheet
(6). A short sheet showing advertisement may be stuck in a cutout area provided
on the surface of the long sheet (6). A short sheet having a colored edge of a predetermined
width colored similarly to the surface color of the handrail belt (5) may be stuck
at the sticking end of the short sheet. A colored edge of a predetermined width
colored similarly to the surface color of the handrail belt (5) may be stuck at
the sticking end of the long sheet.
