Title:
ESCHERICHIA COLI CAPABLE OF PRODUCING 3-AMINO-4-HYDROXYBENZOIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/129001
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for the simple and inexpensive production of amino-hydroxybenzoic acids such as 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid using Escherichia coli, which is a bacterium that is commonly used in biosynthetic preparation processes. Specifically, the present invention provides Escherichia coli bacteria capable of producing 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid, said bacteria having been modified so as to reduce the activity of N-hydroxyarylamine O-acetyltransferase (NhoA), and a method for the production of 3-amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acids using Escherichia coli bacteria modified in this manner.
