Abstract:
The present invention relates to an Escherichia genus microorganism lacking or having an amplified YbbO gene, and to a method for producing retinoid using same, and more specifically, to a method for producing retinoid comprising: the Escherichia genus microorganism lacking or having a diminished or amplified gene for coding a YbbO protein of an Escherichia genus parent strain that is capable of producing retinoid; and separating retinoid from a cultivated product which is obtained by cultivating the microorganism. All of these inventions are based on a confirmation of enzyme activity with respect to retinal and retinoid of the YbbO protein.
