Abstract:
Provided is an ESD protection device which, even if static electricity is repeatedly applied, is able to suppress an increase in discharge start voltage, and has low variability in discharge start voltage. In the EST protection device (1), the tips (4a, 5a) of a first and second discharge electrode (4, 5) within a cavity (3) in an insulating substrate (2) are disposed in a manner so as to face each other. A plurality of the first and/or second discharge electrode (4, 5) are provided. At the outside surface of the insulating substrate (2), a first external electrode (12) connected to the first discharge electrode (4) and a second external electrode (13) electrically connected to the second discharge electrode (5) are formed.
