Abstract:

An ESS module, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a cell stack assembly comprising a cell stack which is formed by stacking a plurality of battery cells and a plurality of mica partition wall assemblies, and a pair of busbar frames which are coupled to both side parts of the cell stack; and a housing for receiving the cell stack assembly and having a plurality of flow channel holes formed in positions corresponding to the front, rear and both side parts of the cell stack assembly, wherein the mica partition wall assemblies are provided between adjacent battery cells and on the outermost part of the cell stack, and operate so as to form flow channels along the stacked direction of the cell stack at a temperature below a reference temperature, and block the flow channels at a temperature equal to or greater than the reference temperature.
