Abstract:
Provided are an estimation device, a learning device, an estimation method, a learning method, and a program with which it is possible to perform accurate body tracking without a user having to wear many trackers. A characteristic extraction unit (68) outputs characteristic data that represents characteristics of a time series history of the position, orientation, or movement of a part of a body over a time period until a latest point in time, upon receiving input data that includes part data representing the position, orientation, or movement of the part of the body at the latest point in time, and that also includes characteristic data which was previously output by the characteristic extraction unit (68), and which represents characteristics of a time series history of the position, orientation, or movement of the part before the latest point in time. On the basis of the characteristic data representing the characteristics of the time series history over the time period until the latest point in time, an estimation unit (72) estimates the position, orientation, or movement of another part of the body at the latest point in time, wherein this second part of the body is closer to the center of the body than is the first part of the body.
