Abstract:
Provided is an ethylene decomposition agent for decomposing ethylene in an environment of 30 ° C or below, the ethylene decomposition agent containing a porous silica on which is supported at least one noble metal selected from the group consisting of gold, rhodium, ruthenium, and palladium, or a noble metal-containing compound. This ethylene decomposition agent is suitably used to decompose ethylene emitted by plants such as vegetables and fruits.
