Abstract:
The present invention suppresses the pressure at a fuel tank side from increasing to an excessive pressure or higher upon failure of a positive-pressure relief valve mechanism. This evaporated fuel treatment device is provided with a motor-operated valve (52), a positive-pressure relief valve mechanism, and a negative-pressure relief valve mechanism. The motor-operated valve (52) has a valve body (96) for opening/closing a vapor passage (31) allowing a fuel tank (15) and a canister (34) to be in communication with each other, and adjusts the flow rate by electrical control. The positive-pressure relief valve mechanism opens a valve when the pressure at the fuel tank (15) side has a value greater than or equal to a predetermined positive pressure value. The negative-pressure relief valve mechanism opens a valve when the pressure at the fuel tank (15) side has a value less than or equal to a predetermined negative pressure value. The motor-operated valve (52) is configured such that the valve body (96) is moved in the opening direction by the pressure at the fuel tank (15) side that is higher, by at least a predetermined value, than the valve opening pressure for the positive-pressure relief valve mechanism.
