Abstract:
An evaporator (1) for an adsorption-type refrigeration cycle is configured so that refrigerant (100) stored in a case (2) is heated and evaporated by way of heat exchange with a heat exchanging unit (3) having a heat transfer fin (34) in a conduit (33) for a heating medium, and is configured so that: the heat transfer fin (34) has a wall (340) disposed in the longitudinal direction of the conduit (33) at an interval; each wall (340) is provided so that a portion of an area on the bottom edge (341) side located on the stored refrigerant (100) side is immersed in the stored refrigerant (100) wherein the area is located between conduits (33, 33) that are adjacent as viewed from the longitudinal direction; and walls (340, 340) in the heat transfer fin (34) are provided so that the refrigerant (100) is drawn up to the top edge (342) of the wall (340) higher than the refrigerant surface (100A) by way of the capillary force generated between the walls (340, 340) disposed at an interval.
