The present invention provides an event subscription method and an electronic device, and relates to the technical field of terminals. The method comprises: a first electronic device and a second electronic device synchronize an event source information set, the event source information set comprising first event source information of a first event source in the first electronic device and second event source information of a second event source in the second electronic device; the first electronic device queries in the event source information set the second event source information corresponding to a second event to be subscribed; the first electronic device establishes, on the basis of the second event source information, a second inter-process channel with the second electronic device; the first electronic device sends a subscription request for the second event by means of the second inter-process channel; and the first electronic device receives, by means of the second inter-process channel, the second event sent by the second electronic device in response to the subscription request. By using the technical solution of the present invention, events can be subscribed across devices and the application range of an event subscription mechanism is expanded.
