Abstract:
According to the present invention, during an excavation operation by an excavation machine, the position of the bucket and the position of the excavated material can be measured with high accuracy, and a stable excavation operation can be realized. This excavation machine is characterized by being provided with: a stereo camera; a means for recognizing the bucket from images taken by the camera, and measuring the position of the bucket; a means for recognizing, from images taken by the camera, when excavated material has separated from the surface of the ground, and measuring the position of the excavated material; and a means for measuring the positional relationship of the bucket and the excavated material within the same screen.
