Abstract:
An excavation route generation system (1) is for use in a work machine (10) that includes a machine body (11) and an attachment (20) that is attached to the machine body and has a bucket (25) that excavates an object of excavation. The excavation route generation system comprises a property acquisition unit (73) that acquires information about the properties, including the hardness, of the object of excavation and an excavation route generation unit (75) that generates an excavation route that is a target route for the bucket during excavation of the object of excavation. The excavation route generation unit sets an excavation depth for the bucket relative to the surface of the object of excavation in accordance with the hardness of the object of excavation as acquired by the property acquisition unit.
