Abstract:
An exciter is provided with a sine wave generating unit, a filter unit, digital-analog converter units, and a quadrature modulation unit. The sine wave generating unit generates, while changing the frequency thereof by a prescribed width for each predetermined time interval, a first sine wave, and a second sine wave the phase of which is 90 degrees different from the first sine wave. The filter unit stores a plurality of filter coefficients and either one of the plurality of filter coefficients can be set therefor, and the filter unit filters the first and second sine waves using the filter coefficient that has been set. The digital-analog converter unit converts the filtered first and second sine waves into first and second analog signals. The quadrature modulation unit executes quadrature modulation of the first and second analog signals, and generates a modulation signal in accordance with the frequency with which the first and second sine waves are generated.
