Title:
EXFOLIATING BACK SCRUBBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/155913
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An exfoliating back scrubber with a rectangular base with a scrubbing element attached to the surface of the base made of synthetic mesh or other material, preferably, which can be varied in texture. The preferred material of construction is soft and resilient to the touch and provides sufficient friction on the skin for effective scrubbing action without excessive abrasion. The device drains and dries rapidly when wet, the strands forming the netting do not absorb water, soap, or dirt, preventing mold or mildew growth or bacterial growth. Suction cups on the reverse side used for mounting the scrubber to a shower or bath tub wall. The scrubber has the ability to cleanse, stimulate, massage and exfoliate the dermis layer of the skin due to the abrasive nature of the scrubbing element and the ability to apply as much pressure as necessary due to its wall mounting capability.

Claims

1. A personal hygiene cleansing device comprising of a flexible base made of natural or synthetic rubber, vinyl, polyethylene or similar water proof material ( but not to exclude any water proof material ) with suction cups on the reverse side covering 75% or less of the base. The Scrubbing Element preferably a finely woven or extruded mesh material of nylon or any water resistant fabric that is gathered and twisted into a resilient pad. It is then attached to the base by sewing, gluing, or any other means of attachment.

2. The Back Scrubber of claim 1, will cleanse, stimulate, and exfoliate the dermis layer of the skin.

3. The Back Scrubber of claim 1, will when mounted to the shower or bath tub wall allow each user to reach the hard to cleanse portions of the back.

4. The Back Scrubber of claim 1 , when used in accordance with claim 3, will allow each user to apply as much pressure as they want to thoroughly clean, exfoliate, and stimulate the back.

5. The Back Scrubber of claim 1 , when mounted on the shower or bath tub wall, will rinse clean, drain, and dry rapidly. Therefore it does not encourage mold or mildew growth and improves the life of the product.

Description:
EXFOLIATING BACK SCRUBBER

(Description)

A Back Scrubbing device distinctively made to cleanse and exfoliate the back area of your body, a detailed scope of the invention comprises of 2 basic parts; The Scrubbing Element and The Base.

1. The Scrubbing Element; preferably made of finely woven nylon mesh or any water resistant scrubbing fabric. (But not to exclude any other body scrubbing element soft or firm) The nylon mesh is gathered together or twisted into a resilient scrubbing pad. The element is then affixed to the base covering the top side by sewing, gluing, or other means of attachment, it is then made in a rectangular shape (19,75 x 11 ,375 x .25) but not to exclude any other shape or size.

2. The Base; preferably made of soft flexible synthetic rubber, or rubber- like plastic material , or similar water proof material, in a rectangular shape ( 20 x 12 x , 125 ) (but not to exclude any other shape, size or material). There are several suction cups on the reverse side of the base made within the device to enable it to mount to a shower or bath tub wall, (but not to exclude any wall mounting material). Each suction cup is separated to cover 75% or less of the base, The Back Scrubbing device has smaller holes used for rapid drainage of the soap and water when you are cleaning the scrubbing element.

Together with each part interconnected, it will form a mountable back scrubber that will stimulate, cleanse, and exfoliate the dermis layer of the skin. The exfoliating is made possible because of the abrasive nature of the scrubbing surface and the ability to apply as much pressure as you want.
