Abstract:
An exhaust emission control device of an engine capable of preventing the components of a reducing agent from being clogged by washing out the components of the reducing agent deposited in a reducing agent feed route in a reducing agent feeding device feeding the reducing agent to an injection nozzle. The exhaust emission control device comprises a reduction catalyst (5) disposed in the exhaust system of an engine (1) and reducing/purifying nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases with the reducing agent, the injection nozzle (7) injecting the reducing agent to the exhaust gas upstream side of the reduction catalyst (5) in the exhaust gas passage (3) of the exhaust system, and the reducing agent feeding device (8) feeding the reducing agent to the injection nozzle (7). The clogging of the components of the reducing agent in the route for feeding the reducing agent to the injection nozzle (7) is detected in the reducing agent feeding device (8), and washing water feeding means (13) and (14) feeding washing water for washing out the components of the reducing agent deposited in the reducing agent feed route are added to the reducing agent feeding device (8). Thus, the components of the reducing agent deposited in the reducing agent feeding route can be washed out in the reducing agent feeding device (8).
