Abstract:
In one embodiment of an exhaust emission control device, when the deposited amount of particulate matters in a DPF (33) exceeds a specified amount and an engine exhaust gas temperature is less than a regenerative operation-enabled temperature, a suction air volume reducing operation is performed by a suction restricting device (24) provided on an engine suction pipe (21) and a heating operation is performed by an electric heater (34) disposed upstream the DPF (33) to raise an exhaust gas temperature to a regenerative operation-enabled temperature and start the regenerative operation of the DPF (33).
