Title:
EXHAUST GAS AFTERTREATMENT DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINES OF VEHICLES, PREFERABLY PASSENGER CARS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2005024196
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
Disclosed is an exhaust gas aftertreatment device for diesel engines of vehicles, preferably passenger cars. Said exhaust gas aftertreatment device comprises a pump (6) for the exhaust gas aftertreatment medium, sensors (18, 22), an injection valve (25), and a control mechanism (11) for the pump (6), the sensors (18, 22), and the injection valve (25). Some of said components lie far apart such that they have to be connected via a wire harness. In addition, the wires often have to be laid near the exhaust pipe, where temperatures are high. In order to be able to install the inventive device without any problems while keeping the design simple, at least the pump (6) and the control mechanism (11) are combined into a built-in unit, thus dispensing with the effort of laying wires between the components. The inventive device is used in diesel engines.
