Abstract:
In an exhaust-gas cleaning filter (1), a separation barrier (12) includes communicating pores (120). The communicating pores (120) each include an inlet bottleneck section (122N) having the most-constricted diameter in a region (122) where the diameter of the communicating pore (120) narrows and then expands, from a surface opening (121) of the communicating pore (120) in the surface of the separation barrier (12) on the gas-inflow side toward the gas-outflow side. In a sectional view taken thickness-wise through the separation barrier (12), where the span of the surface opening (121) of the communicating pore (120) is a surface-opening diameter (A) and the span of the inlet bottleneck section (122N) is an inlet-bottleneck diameter (B), the inlet-bottleneck diameter (B) is smaller than the surface-opening diameter (A), and the average value of the inlet-bottleneck diameter (B) is not greater than 15 μm. In plan view of the surface of the separation barrier (12) on the gas-inflow side, the surface aperture ratio of the communicating pore (120) is at least 40%.
