Abstract:

An exhaust gas cleaning system causing less torque variation and capable of preventing white smoke from being produced in a regenerative control operation for regenerating a continuous regenerative DPF (3). When the continuous regenerative DPF (3) having an oxidation catalyst (3Aa) on the upstream side of a filter (3Ab) is controllably regenerated, an exhaust gas throttle valve (31) installed in an exhaust gas passage (2) is closed and a delayed multi-stage injection control is performed when an exhaust gas temperature (T1) at the inlet of the oxidation catalyst (3Aa) is less than the active temperature (Ta) of the oxidation catalyst to increase the temperature of the exhaust gas. After the inlet exhaust gas temperature (T1) of the oxidation catalyst (3Aa) is increased to the active temperature (Ta) of the oxidation catalyst or higher, the exhaust gas throttle valve (31) is opened stepwise or continuously so that the exhaust gas temperature (T2) at the inlet of the filter (3Ab) is increased to a PM forced combustion lower limit temperature (Tb1) or higher.
