Abstract:
An exhaust gas heat exchanger comprises: a cooling medium flow passage forming member (3) which allows a cooling medium to flow through the inside thereof and which allows exhaust gas to flow through the outside thereof; and fins (22) which consist of an alloy, are joined by brazing to the outer surface of the cooling medium flow passage forming member (3), and promote heat exchange between the exhaust gas and the cooling medium. The cooling medium flow passage forming member (3) is configured from a clad material which is formed by cladding a brazing material (32) on the surface of a core material (31) consisting of an alloy, the brazing material (32) being used to join the fins (22). The brazing material (32) has a lower electrical potential than the core material (31). The alloy material which constitutes the fins (22) has a first component added thereto, the first component making the electrical potential of the main component of the alloy material higher. The alloy material which constitutes the core material (31) of the cooling medium flow passage forming member (3) has a second component added thereto, the second component making the electrical potential of the main component of the alloy material higher. The first component and the second component are the same metallic component.
