Abstract:
The present invention provides a catalyst composition for inhibiting the deactivation of a catalyst, supported with precious metal components including platinum and palladium, for purifying exhaust gas of a compressed natural gas combustion system. Specifically, in an exhaust gas oxidation catalyst for a compressed natural gas automobile or a static combustion system, in which the first alumina impregnated with palladium, the second alumina impregnated with platinum, and ceria component are supported on a ceramic support, a cocatalyst selected from the group consisting of barium, nickel, lanthanum, samarium, and yttrium is supported on the first alumina, and thus the deactivation of the CNG lean burn engine catalyst is greatly inhibited.
