Abstract:
Provided is an exhaust gas purification device provided with a cover which can reduce radiated noise at low cost without impairing the heat shield function of the cover.
Provided is an exhaust gas purification device 1 comprising: an exhaust gas purification device body 10 provided to the exhaust pipe 9 of a diesel engine and purifying exhaust gas; and a substantially rectangular cover 2 provided so as to cover at least a part of the exhaust gas purification device body 10 and blocking heat radiated from the exhaust gas purification device body 10. The cover 2 is provided with a plurality of protruding ribs 20 formed on the surface thereof. The ribs 20 comprise: radial ribs 21 formed extending radially from a center section C centered at the intersection X of the diagonals D of the cover 2; and a circumferential rib 22 formed continuously along the entire circumference of a circle centered at the intersection X.
