Abstract:
This exhaust gas purification device 100 for an internal combustion engine 1 is provided with an exhaust pipe 2, a post-treatment unit 3, and a casing 4 in which the post-treatment unit is accommodated. The post-treatment unit 3 is provided with: a selective reduction NOx catalyst 10c; pipe members 31, 33, 34, 35 which extend from the upstream side towards the selective reduction NOx catalyst 10c; and an addition valve 36 for adding urea water. An opening 44 which enables an area Uf where the urea water accumulates to be attached and detached, said area being positioned between the addition valve 36 and the selective reduction NOx catalyst 10c, is provided in the casing 4. A cover 5 for covering the opening 44 is provided.
