Abstract:
The exhaust gas purification device according to the present invention is provided with: a base material 10 of wall flow structure that has an inlet-side cell, an outlet-side cell, and a porous dividing wall 16; and a catalyst layer that is formed inside the dividing wall abutting the inlet-side cell or the outlet-side cell. The catalyst layer is formed in a region that covers from the surface of the dividing wall up to at least 90% of the thickness of the dividing wall, and is held on the surface of internal pores in the dividing wall in said region. Average filling ratios A, B, C of the catalyst layer held in the pores within the respective pore diameter ranges satisfy a specific relation.
