Abstract:
An exhaust purification system 200 comprises a catalyst 7 provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, a bypass passage 5 that bypasses the catalyst, a bypass valve 6 that opens and closes the bypass passage, a control unit 100 configured to control the bypass valve, and an exhaust pressure sensor 61 that detects the exhaust pressure on the upstream side of the catalyst. When the exhaust pressure detected by the exhaust pressure sensor is high, the control unit controls the bypass valve so as to increase the opening degree of the bypass passage as compared with the case where the exhaust pressure is low.
