Abstract:

Provided is an exhaust heat recovery-type ship propulsion device (1) comprising: a cooling water circulation flow path (6) that circulates first cooling water that cools a diesel engine (3); an ORC system (2) that recovers exhaust heat from the first cooling water circulating through the cooling water circulation flow path (6) and that generates power using the exhaust heat; and a control device (9) that controls the ORC system (2) so as to increase the amount of heat to be recovered by the ORC system (2) in accordance with an increase in the rotation number of the diesel engine (3).
