Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an exhaust heat recovery system and an exhaust heat recovery method in which conditions whereby a steam turbine and a gas turbine can both be driven are found and power is generated even when a main engine is operating in a low load range, and exhaust heat can be recovered. An exhaust heat recovery system (1) is provided with an exhaust gas rate adjustment valve (33) for adjusting the flow rate of exhaust gas supplied from a diesel engine (3) to an exhaust gas economizer (11) via a power turbine (7), an exhaust gas bypass rate adjustment valve (34) for adjusting the flow rate of exhaust gas supplied from the diesel engine (3) to the exhaust gas economizer (11) without using the power turbine (7), and a main engine control system (43) and turbine control panel (44) for adjusting the opening degree of the exhaust gas bypass rate adjustment valve (34) and opening and closing the exhaust gas rate adjustment valve (33) in accordance with the scavenging pressure of the diesel engine (3).
