Abstract:

An exhaust purification device provided with: a casing (3C), which accommodates purification members (3A, 3B) for purifying exhaust from an engine mounted in a vehicle, and the exhaust circulation direction of which corresponds to a longitudinal direction; an inlet opening (3d) that is provided at one end of the casing (3C) in the longitudinal direction, and that is for allowing exhaust to flow into the casing (3C); an outlet opening (3e) that is provided at the other end of the casing (3C) in the longitudinal direction, and that is for allowing exhaust to flow out from the casing (3C); a first pipe (4) connected to the inlet opening (3d); and a second pipe (5) connected to the outlet opening (3e). The cross-sectional shape of a connecting end portion (4b) of the first pipe (4) connecting to the casing (3C) and/or a connecting end portion (5b) of the second pipe (5) connecting to the casing (3C) is a flat shape wherein the longitudinal dimension of the casing (3C) is shorter than the lateral dimension of the casing (3C).
