Abstract:
The air necessary to measure exhaust gas composition is supplied to an exhaust sensor without using a device that generates positive pressure. In a structure in which an exhaust sensor that measures exhaust gas composition and that needs air when measuring exhaust gas composition is installed on an engine (1), an exhaust pipe (5) of the engine (1) communicates with the exhaust sensor (10) through an entry pipe (15), the exhaust sensor (10) and an inlet pipe (2) of the engine (1) communicate through a discharge pipe (16), and an air pipe (17), which is open to the outside, is connected to the exhaust sensor (10). Due to the intake negative pressure generated by the intake stroke of the engine (1), exhaust gas is sucked into the inner parts of the exhaust sensor (10) through the entry pipe (15), and air is sucked into the inner parts of the exhaust sensor (10) through the air pipe (17).
