Abstract:

The invention relates to an expansible threaded joint including: a first tubular component comprising a male end (1) including a first and second threaded area (21, 22) and an insertion region (23) provided with a first annular tab (41) including a protruding abutment surface (41a) and with a first cavity; a second tubular member comprising a female end (2) including third and fourth threaded areas (23, 24) and an insertion region (26) provided with a second annular tab (42) including a protruding abutment surface (42a) and with a second cavity (44); wherein the first and second tabs (41, 42) are respectively engaged into the second and first cavities (44, 43) in the screwed state, the abutment surface of at least one tab is in contact with at least one cavity, the male end (1) includes a first surface (47) between the first threaded area and the first tab and the female end includes a second surface (48) between the third threaded area and the second cavity, said first and second surfaces (47, 48) defining, in the screwed state, an annular gap including an area having a large radial dimension (49) and an area having a small radial dimension (50) capable of forming a seal after expansion by metal-metal contact (60), with the first tab (41) engaging with the second tab (42).
