Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] An expansion fastener which can simply fasten a member from one side of it to another member to the inside or rear side thereof unreachable by hand and which is prevented from loosening after the tightening. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The expansion fastener has a tubular body (3), a female thread section (41), and an expansion wedge (4A). The tubular body (3) includes a tubular section (31) having an insertion hole (33) into which a male thread section (21) of a bolt (2) can be inserted, a flange (32) located at the tail end of the tubular section (31) and capable of being held by a predetermined tool, and expansion slits (34) formed in the tubular section (31) so as to extend from its head end to its tail end. The female thread section (41) is connected to the male thread section (21) of the bolt (2). The expansion wedge (4A) has a tapered section (42) tapered toward the tail end of the expansion wedge and has diameter reducing slits (43) extending from the tail end toward the head end of the tapered section (42).
