Abstract:
An experimentation apparatus and method utilizing x-ray for measuring the content and distribution of water in a coal rock, related to the field of the content and distribution of water in coal rocks. The experimentation apparatus comprises: an experimentation solution configuration system (1), a coal rock mass production system (2), a CT scan system (3), and a coal rock mass analysis and simulation system (4). The method comprises: selecting a potassium iodide (KI) solution to serve as an experimentation solution on the basis of a requirement for the production of a coal rock mass to be tested for water content, soaking a dry coal rock mass of which the water content is 0% in the experimentation solution for a period of time, then retrieving the coal rock mass, wiping the water off the surface of same, and performing a CT scan thereon, acquiring positional relationships of different components in the coal rock sample by means of the CT scan; and, by means of the coal rock mass analysis and simulation system (4), extracting the positions at where water is distributed in the coal rock mass to produce the ratio and distribution characteristics of water in the coal rock mass. The experimentation apparatus and method allow the display of the spatial structure and water distribution of a coal rock mass, the learning of the internal structure of a coal rock and overall water distribution characteristics, and the implementation of the drawing of the three-dimensional structure of a sample coal rock mass.
