Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery module (1) having an expansion member (31) and a spring member (32) so as to prevent or delay the release and explosion of heat energy and flames and prevent chain ignition from occurring between other battery modules. The expansion member (31) can be an inversion disk (31R), and the inversion disk (31R) is shaped to be inverted with respect to internal pressure, which is greater than or equal to a predetermined yield pressure that is less than the explosion pressure defined as the minimum pressure at which the battery module (1) can explode, so as to expand the internal space of the battery module (1), thereby preventing or delaying an increase in and the explosion of the internal pressure.
