Abstract:
Exposure controller for flash photography used for controlling the exposure of a camera, which has a first program signal circuit (5) for generating signals indicating the shutter speed and diaphragm value for flash photography in response to the output of a photometric circuit (2) measuring the brightness of the scene being photographed and hence the photometric value and the diaphragm opening value for a camera lens (1a), a second program signal circuit (6) generating signals indicating the shutter speed and diaphragm value for flash photography in response to the output of a range finder circuit (4) and the maximum quantity of emitted light of a flash that can be used, and a third program signal circuit (7) generating signals indicating the shutter speed and the diaphragm value for photographing by flash in response to the output of the range finder circuit (4) and the minimum light emission quantity of the flash, wherein one output signal is selected based on the results of a comparison of the output signals from the three program signal circuits.
