Abstract:
Provided are the expression regulation of pollen competitiveness genes STK1; 2 and an application thereof in improving the efficiency of propagating a plant nucleus male-sterile line. By reducing the expression level of pollen fertilization competitiveness regulatory genes STK1 and STK2 (serine threonine kinase 1; 2) at the RNA level, the competitiveness of maize pollen in participating in fertilization is reduced, which is combined with the technological system of propagating a plant male-sterile line together with transgenic technology so as to improve the production efficiency of sterile lines.
