Title:
EXPRESSION VECTOR FOR CELLULOSE PRODUCTION, TRANSFORMANT, AND CELLULOSE PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/104310
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for readily and inexpensively producing cellulose. The production method uses a cellulose production vector having a promoter, a CesA gene, and a CesB gene, and having an upstream sequence of a 5'-side gene in a 5'-side gene-derived organism, between the promoter and the initiation codon for the 5'-side gene out of either the CesA gene or the CesB gene, whichever is further on the upstream side. A transformant having the cellulose production vector introduced thereto is cultivated, and cellulose is biosynthesized using the transformant, by causing the vector and a dgc gene to be co-expressed.
