Abstract:
Provided is an extension condenser which can be easily added to a refrigeration cycle apparatus and which can further improve the condensation efficiency. A refrigeration cycle apparatus (20) is provided with a compressor (22), a four-way valve (24), an outdoor heat exchanger (26), and an indoor heat exchanger (28). An extension condenser (50) is added to the refrigeration cycle apparatus (20). The extension condenser (50) is disposed between the indoor heat exchanger (28) and the outdoor heat exchanger (26), and is connected in series to the indoor heat exchanger (28) and the outdoor heat exchanger (26) via a pipe. The extension condenser (50) is provided with a heat exchanger (52) for condensation which can condense a refrigerant passing through the refrigeration cycle apparatus (20), and a blower (54) which can generate an airflow passing through the heat exchanger for condensation. Furthermore, a parallel flow-type condenser wherein a number of heat transfer tubes are arranged in parallel between a pair of headers, and each heat transfer tube communicates with the pair of headers, is used for the heat exchanger (52) for condensation.
