Abstract:
An extension and retraction arrangement (10) for retaining a supported article, such as a monitor (12), in relation to a trolley structure (42) that is retained for axial extension and retraction in relation to an elongate support arrangement. The trolley structure (42) can have a centrally disposed alcove (52) disposed inboard of first and second rail members (36, 38) of the elongate support arrangement. A subsurface enclosure (16) can retain the rail members (36, 38), and first and second doors (22, 24) can selectively close an aperture in a framework (14) coupled adjacent to an end of the subsurface enclosure (16). Constant force springs (78, 80) can assist travel of the trolley structure (42) and an arcuate braking member (148) or compression spring (152) can provide a braking effect to the trolley structure (42).
