Abstract:
Disclosed is an exterior-enclosed construction with an outer surface having a function of suppressing vortex-induced vibration. An outer surface of the exterior-enclosed construction is provided with several ring grooves surrounding the exterior-enclosed construction, so that concavely and convexly alternate ring grooves and ring bosses for breaking a boundary layer of a laminar flow are formed on the outer surface of the exterior-enclosed construction. In addition, outer surfaces of the ring bosses are provided with several air-induced trenches, and the several air-induced trenches are circumferentially distributed along the ring bosses. The air-induced trenches are inclined upwardly or downwardly, and a part of an incoming upwind flow flowing to the ring bosses can be introduced to the ring grooves adjacent to the ring bosses via the air-induced trenches. With the help of the convex-concave outer surface, the correlation between the flow and the flow state of the boundary layer can be broken, thus avoiding the consistency of pulsating pressures and fundamentally avoiding the cause of the vortex-induced vibration. After the air-induced trenches cause the incoming upwind flow to deviate, the correlations between the flow and the flow states of the boundary layers of the ring bosses and the ring grooves are further broken, and the produced noise is also low.
